2009 marks two important milestones in this saga – the centenary of GVP’S birth and the retirement this summer of Paul Maddren after 35 years at CH.
Revisit the Science Schools - there will be students to demonstrate the type of work they do now, displays of books & materials from past courses, GVP memorabilia, and even the opportunity to look at your marks in Dr Maddren’s mark books!
We are delighted to welcome Old Blue, Professor Jonathan Osborne, inaugural holder of the California Science Professorship in the School of Education at Stanford University, to give the lecture, on the development of Science Education, and the role played by CH in this.
At the end of the lecture, there will be a presentation of a leaving present to Paul Maddren.
