Old Blues to Perform at the Edinburgh Festival

Watch this space! For the first time since the Edinburgh Festival’s inception just after WW2, it seems highly likely that a contingent of Old Blue thesps will be performing there this year. The biggest and most prestigious festival in the world will be graced by the presence of a company of recent Old Blues who have already shown talent and commitment to the profession and who have earned the chance for a long run in a good venue with almost certain press coverage and a London transfer.

This has all been made possible through the support of Wendy Stone and a group of Hertford Old Girls who will be underwriting the venture. It will be directed by Guy Masterson (OB) who is firmly established as one of the leading British directors of today. Current Director of Drama at CH, Jeffrey Mayhew, who is himself a regular at Edinburgh, will produce the show. The first production meeting is due to take place within the next couple of weeks when plans will crystallise and the project begin to take shape.
