- 1. Centenary Day - 19 May 2002
Just to remind you that, as was detailed in the last edition of Housey!, Centenary Day is on Sunday. This is to mark the move from London down to Horsham a hundred years ago. The day starts at 10.30am with an open Service of Re-Dedication followed by a re-enactment of the laying of the Foundation Stone.
There will be music & drama highlights, tours, displays and other attractions with the finale being the band Beating of Retreat. Old Blues Cricket Club will be playing an Old England XI. Drinks will be available in Dining hall at lunchtime and other refreshments throughout the day.
For more details, it is probably advisable to contact CH direct.

- 3. Old Blues Real Tennis
The Old Blues Real Tennis Club played its first match of the year at Merton College, Oxford on Sunday 21 April 2002.
An enjoyable encounter resulted in a loss against the Oxford Club by four matches to two. Robert Muir (Col B 1966-72) made his first appearance for us but was unlucky in coming up against a much more experienced player. Chris Harding-Edgar (Pe B 1962-69), Peter Bloomfield (Pe B 1944-51) and Robin Lawson (Ma B 1950-57) all narrowly lost hard fought matches. Due to someone dropping out, it was necessary for Richard McGregor to play twice and he managed to secure our two wins.
Our next match is at Holyport, near Maidenhead, Berkshire on Sunday 30 June, where we hope to have five or six players performing. This is always a good social occasion and spectators are welcome. For more information, and particularly for any potential new players, please call Richard McGregor on 01628 626258 or e-mail richard.mcgregor@btinternet.com.
Regards
Steve Webb (Col A 60-69)
