Book on Brangwyn murals in CH chapel

Libby Horner, the Brangwyn expert, has recently published a 108 page book about the Brangwyn murals in Christ’s Hospital chapel. The book is beautifully illustrated and shows for the first time all the panels and all the cartoons owned by the school. The tome includes a preface by the Head Master, a biography of Brangwyn, notes about the architects of the school Sir Aston Webb and Edward Ingress Bell, a brief history of the school, the chronology of the mural panels, detailed descriptions of each panel, a bibliography and index. Appendices give details of Brangwyn's other mural commissions and works mentioned in the text.

The 250 Limited Edition version printed on Forest Stewardship Council certified paper contains six illuminated letters designed by the author (one of which is hand tinted), a hand printed letterpress sheet, a bookmark and an illustrated Brangwyn family tree. Each work is numbered and signed by the author and bound by hand with a hand-made Nepalese Lokta paper cover.

An A5 trade edition is also available.
