We have three events coming up in April. This is a great opportunity to get updated on what is happening in the school, as well as to socialize with old friends.
If you are interested in attending any of the events please see the attachments for RSVP instructions and further details. Please email questions to the contact person listed for each event. RSVPs are requested by March 25th.
In summary:
The Annual Transatlantic Exchange Dinner is being held at the Mount Vernon Club in Baltimore at 6.30pm on Saturday April 9th.

Update March 2010
Mission
Friends of Christ's Hospital was incorporated in July 2001 by US Old Blues. The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable purposes, operated entirely by volunteers, and receives the bulk of its funds from alumni donations. The majority of its donations are made in response to grant requests from the Christ's Hospital Foundation.
Programs
- The major FCH program to date is fund raising to provide grants to the Christ's Hospital Foundation to renovate the 100 year old buildings of the school, and provide new buildings.
- An Annual Report and one or two newsletters are published each year to keep FCH members up to date.
- Transatlantic exchanges are sponsored through FCH, enabling current CH students to spend time in a US school and vice versa.
- FCH organizes several social events during the year, including a Founder’s Day Dinner in October, a Transatlantic Exchange Dinner, and occasional regional events.

Patricia and Kenneth Northcott (Ba B 1934-39) will host the 2007 Friends of Christ’s Hospital Founder’s Day Dinner in Chicago on October 20th. Please contact Kenneth by email or Lance Reynolds by email to indicate your probable attendance and number in your party. We cordially invite our Canadian brothers and sisters to join us.
Friends of Christ’s Hospital have helped organise and finance an exchange programme between Gilman School in Baltimore and Christ’s Hospital.

We received a record $139,358 in donations in 2005 and made grants to the school of $95,500 during the year with a further grant of $50,000 in January 2006. We also made grants to both Christ’s Hospital of $6000 and the Gilman School of $4000 to support the student exchange program in which Deputy Grecian Mark Laichena spent a month at Gilman and Jon McMaster is completing the summer term at Housie. Our grants to date total $248,918 with the majority, $213,950, supporting the sorely needed building renovation.
