Midlands / East Sections
East Midlands Old Blues
The East Midlands section of the CH Club stretches from Lincolnshire in the North through Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland to Northamptonshire in the South. Apart from the annual Founder’s Day Dinner about 4 other events are held each year, mostly at weekends. Events take the form of pub lunches and dinners, sometimes complemented by a country walk or a visit to an historical site. New members and guests are always welcome.

New Chairman
Our Chairman this year will be Stewart Rayner MA (Col B 49-57). On leaving CH Stewart did a “gap year” working in a motorcycle factory and then at the AA Head Office in London before going to Durham University for a BA. He then taught for 3 years at an IAPS school in Bickley, Kent before returning to Durham to study for Ordination and a Master’s Degree. He was ordained in Sheffield Cathedral in 1967 and for the next 24 years served in parishes in that Diocese in Rotherham, Doncaster and Sheffield. In 1991 he moved to the Midlands as a Mental Health Chaplain in Derby, remaining in the area when in 1994 he was appointed Rector of Etwall and Egginton, a post from which he has recently retired. His guardianship of parochial records over the years has led him to have an interest in Local and Family History.E-mail addresses
