Severn & Avon Section
2012 Events
The Severn & Avon section draws mainly from postcodes of Gloucester, Bristol and Swindon and meet approximately every quarter. The last two meetings were at the Cross Hands, Old Sodbury in June and at The Five Mile House in September.
The Five Mile House is unfortunately ceasing to do lunches so we have been fortunate in getting a room at The Crown of Crucis, Ampney Crucis on the A 417, 2 miles out of Cirencester toward Lechlade. The group will meet there on March 21st 2012 at noon.
Severn and Avon Old Blue meetings started in December 2000 and spouses are always welcome at meetings. If interested, phone Peter Wornell on 01225-703517 or email peterwornell@talktalk.net.

These are bar meals, usual number about 20 (including spouses who are very welcome, someone has to keep order!).

Severn & Avon Section 2007 Events
We met at The Cross Hands, Old Sodbury for our October meeting on the 24th at the usual time of 12.00 noon. We were very happy to welcome a “new boy”, Derek Wilson (Pe B 40–47) who came up from Somerset via John Maling (Pe B 41–48).
A good pub lunch in the Restaurant was enjoyed by all. Arthur Dyball (La B 45–54) came all the way down from Craven Arms—he did not go much on the diversion around the A46 at Stroud, but still arrived in time! Derek Skinner (La B 47–55) got there on time accompanied by Jacky, two sticks and a couple of new knees. The rest were normal (we think).
Apart from the above there were: Pat Sherwell (6’s 48–56), Heather Davidson (1’s, 7’s 44–52), Doreen Williams (1’s, 7’s 44–51), Angela & Judyth Wildsmith (1’s, 6’s 44–51 & 45–52), Roger Onslow (Mid A 44–51) & Eileen, Alex Matthews (La B 45–54), David Meyrick (Ma A 42–49) and Peter Wornell (La B 45–52) and Dora.
We next meet at The Five Mile House (N of Cirencester) on Wed January 30th 2008 and then are back again at The Cross Hands on Wed April 16th. Anyone interested will be welcome. Spouses are welcome, too.
Severn & Avon Section 2006 Events
We met on Wednesday July 19th at The Cross Hands, Old Sodbury for lunch. Numbers we down a little due to holidays (and the heat ?). From “les girls” there were Part Sherwin (Hart 6’s 48–56) and her husband Don, Doreen Williams (Turnbull 7’s 44–51), and Heather Davidson (Newport 7’s 44–52). Also present were Richard Bates (Ba B 44–51), John Maling (Pe B 41–48), Arthur Dyball (La B 45–54), Roger Onslow (Mid A 44–51) and Eileen and Peter Wornell (La B 45–52).
